Laura is a Senior Data Scientist with Consilium Sciences. She has over a decade of experience blending data science, epidemiology, and health informatics for governmental public health entities.
Laura began her career in public health working in substance use and harm reduction at Family Health Centers of San Diego, one of the nation’s largest federally-qualified health centers. Before joining Consilium Sciences, Laura worked on patient safety and healthcare quality reporting for major state and federal clients, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and California Department of Public Health. She is an experienced communicator, specializing in extracting actionable insights from complex analytic results, and is more than comfortable presenting in front of thousands of people.
Laura received her M.P.H. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley and B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, San Diego. Her research led to white papers, conference presentations, and publications across a variety of topics.
