Laila is a Senior Strategist with Consilium Sciences leveraging her extensive regulatory expertise to guide clients through the ever-changing tobacco product application landscape for diverse products, including novel delivery systems. Her deep understanding of regulatory requirements translates into practical solutions for clients, ensuring the smooth navigation of premarket applications (PMTAs, MRTPAs), TPSAC meetings, and meeting requests.
Laila brings over a decade of FDA experience from the Center for Tobacco Products (CTP), where she held leadership roles in developing and reviewing premarket tobacco application requirements. Notably, she planned, directed, and evaluated high-profile premarket application review programs, solidifying her expertise in integrating science and regulations.
Laila’s proven track record extends to Juul Labs, where she managed product integrity programs, fostering collaboration across disciplines to ensure regulatory alignment.
Laila holds an MPH in Epidemiology from Emory University, a Master’s certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, and a PMP certification.
