Anne Andorn, MD
Chief Medical Officer

Anne C. Andorn, M.D. completed an internship in Internal Medicine, a residency in Psychiatry, and fellowships in both Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacology.  She is Board Certified in Psychiatry and holds a current medical license in Ohio.

Anne spent the first portion of her career as an academic physician scientist and was responsible for teaching medical students and residents-in-training, while maintaining an active neuroscience research laboratory funded by NIH and NSF, and participating in clinical care of psychiatric patients.  She served on several committees including IRBs and research oversight committees.

Anne also held various roles including Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care and Chief of Psychiatry within the Veterans Administration Hospitals.  In the latter role she led a large interdisciplinary team serving relatively large inpatient and outpatient populations for Veterans in a two division VAMC. Anne was a Residency Training Director, Vice Chair and Chair of a Department of Psychiatry.  She served on national committees including an FDA Advisory Committee for the Division of Drugs Anesthetics and Drugs of Abuse, and the National Institutes of Drug Abuse Advisory Council.

During the most-recent portion of her career, Anne served in the Pharmaceutical Industry, working both in translational and early phase development as a project leader, and was also involved in risk management and safety, and in late-stage development with several successful NDA submissions.   Anne held various roles of increasing responsibility in industry including Project Lead, Neurosciences Center for Excellence (GSK), Executive Director and Interim Head of Psychiatry (Pfizer), Coordinator of Early Phase Developmental Products Safety (GSK), Head of Late-Stage Clinical Development and SVP (Indivior).

Through all these experiences Anne has developed a far-reaching understanding of the necessary elements for the conduct of both bench and clinical research.  She is knowledgeable about research regulatory requirements, the pursuit of research funding and the evaluation and reporting of research endeavors.
